ARIANA MORUNGA & TYLER-JADE KATENE

Ariana Morunga (Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa) and Tyler-Jade Katene are Māori tā moko artists whose mahi toi honours the traditions of tā moko while expressing identity, whakapapa and cultural connection through contemporary practice. Ariana is also the proud mama of one of our own tama, Reef, bringing a special connection to our TIPENE whānau. Their mahi reminds us that tā moko is more than adornment — it is a powerful expression of who we are, where we come from and the stories we carry.
