RANGITUUAHIAHI HUNUHUNU
(Ngai Tuhoe, Te Arawa)
This tiki piece is a picture that has been photographed by me, as the pake itself is designed and created by my koro Richard Anderson.
It reflects on my connection with my culture, whānau and friends. It emphasizes my maoritanga and my knowledge in Te Ao Haka.
The colour yellow and black represent my kura ko TIPENE. It also holds resemblance with our whakatauki “Titiro Matatau ki Te Rangi” meaningw to always strive for success .
